The Foundation

Charles Owor foundation has officially registered with the Canadian Federal government as a non-profit organisation, allowing it to operate legally throughout Canada and else where. The foundation is a development and apolitical organisation that was founded by the Owor family and Mr. Shannon Owor Tito a Canadian brother of Charles immediately after the death of Charles a Ugandan lawyer, politician and former interim electoral commissioner, who conducted the 1996 Ugandan Presidential and Parliamentary Elections. The foundation will strive to serve all Ugandans respectable of gender, tribe or religious persuasion.
The letter Patent was given under the seal of office of the Canadian Minister of Industry dated February 18th 2002 in Ottawa, Canada. The registered first directors of the Corporation are Shannon Owor Tito an educator from Langley, British Columbia, Mrs. Allyce Mutungi a Barrister from Ajax, Ontario and Pastor Silas Mubanda of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
The objectives of the foundation are:
to continue with supporting the late Charles Owor’s humanitarian, Christian leadership and Educational work among the Ugandan community in Canada, Uganda and else
Strive to maintain the heroic efforts and integrity that Charles himself embodied.
The mission and vision of the foundation are:
to continue with the legacy of Charles Owor of caring for the young and powerless of Ugandan society and promote his dream of a justice and democratic society where all citizens can achieve social, educational, economical and civic development
developed committed Ugandan Christian leaders and enhance social, economical, and civic lives of all Ugandan people.
