The Service in the UK Condolences Back to Memorial/Tributes Support and Appreciation Message of the Home Going Service of Brother Charles Owor: OUR HOPE IN JESUS 2 Corinthians 3:2-3. "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3 For as much as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart." Seated in this hall today is a crowd of mourners who to this point have been spiritually, emotionally and physically affected by the shocking news of the death of Brother Charles Owor. However only a portion of this great crowd today will appreciate the fact that Brother Charles cannot be said to be dead, rather Brother Charles is only asleep. The beauty of the power of the present state of Brother Charles is that he is ALIVE in the Lord. A further place exists in the spirit, that is the place of God's unending glory and peace prepared for those who love His name, believe in Him and confess Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Friends, life is a race and it answers only too diligent runners. A wise man once said, "Textbooks are books from which you acquire relevant information, but much more than text books are text-people." These are people whose life speak louder than the trumpet sound. They are living Epistles. Brother Charles was a "text-person" An epistle to the living. Is your life a "letter" or a living epistle? Can other people read it? What does it communicate to others? Paul's life was a "letter" written not by man but by the hand of the Holy Spirit. It was not written on paper or tablet of stone, it was written on men's heart. Why? Ink fades, stone crumble to dust, but what the Holy Spirit writes in men's heart remains forever. What can we read from the life of Brother Charles? page 2 |
