The Service in the UK Condolences SupportPeople came in numbers to pay their respects to Charles. In Kampala people of all walks of life came in thousands to Kololo Indoor Stadium - there was not a big enough church in the city to hold the mourners. In the UK the place to come was Hounslow in London to Charles sister's house and in far away Vancouver Canada, a dozen Ugandan Canadian and relatives of Charles' brother assembles at his house all sorrowful for the lost of this respectable and great Ugandan. Jordan Batman, a journalist with the Langley Advance in the small community of Langley - 60,000 individuals even wrote a front-page story on Charles. What a man! what a life well lived! The New Vision reporter James Odong got the title of Charles life right. His Thursday August 17th 2000 obituary article "Death be not proud, Owor pleased God" could not be truer. You see Charles Owor knew that death was already defeated at the cross so for him and for those who have a personal faith in Christ. Charles' death was a victory and not a defeat or his demise. Philippians 1:21, For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. For us who are left behind, we too have a hope. Revelation 21:4, He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain.
